Bloomfield College

About Hobart:  A smart defender with great instincts, Steven will once again help anchor the back line of the Deacons during his senior campaign in 2012.

As a junior:  Played in 18 games with 18 starts as a junior in 2011...Tallied a goal on seven shots, with two shots on goal...Hobart's stellar play along the club's back line earned the junior a second team All-CACC selection in 2011, while his exemplary work in the classroom earned him CACC All-Academic Team honors for the second time in his Bloomfield College career.

As a sophomore:  Played in 18 games with 17 starts...The team's best scoring defender, Hobart notched a goal and an assist on 15 shots, with four shots on goal...His outstanding play on the back line earned Hobart a second team All-CACC selection in 2010, while his work in the classroom earned him a spot on the CACC Fall All-Academic Team.

As a freshman:  Played in 19 games in 2009, making 14 starts...Notched 10 shots over the course of the season, and was a major contributor to a defense that allowed under 1.16 goals per game in CACC play, good for fourth in the league.

Before Bloomfield:  Hobart starred at Hurlingham and Chelsea School in England before joining the Bloomfield College program as a freshman in 2009.

Why Steven chose Division II:  “I chose Bloomfield College because Coach Falloon really made me feel like I could be an important part of this team, and that I could succeed here.  Bloomfield is a great school, and I knew it would also challenge me academically.”
