Peter-John Falloon

Coach Falloon gears up for his ninth season as head coach of the Bloomfield College Men's Soccer and Men's Tennis programs. Coming off his first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer Championship in 2015, Peter sets his sites on a repeat and a trip to the NCAA Tournament with the Bears this year.

A native of Saint Andrew, Jamaica, Falloon was one of the top goalkeepers in his country from his early days on the pitch. A member of the Jamaican under-12 National Team, Coach Falloon was a standout between the posts at Ardenne High School under head coach Hugh McCarthy.  McCarthy still remains an important influence in Falloon's life, and serves as an inspiration as he continues his coaching career.  When his career at Ardenne came to a close, Coach Falloon was offered an opportunity to play for the under-23 Jamaican national team, but chose to depart his homeland and head to America in 2000.

After starting in net for Union County College of New Jersey for two seasons, Falloon traveled to Kean University, where he played for the Cougars for the final two years of his college career.  He graduated with a degree in Graphic Communications from Kean in 2005, and immediately started his coaching career the following fall at Union County.

As an Assistant Coach on the Owls' staff, Falloon helped guide UCC to the NJCAA National Final in 2007, his final season as an Owls coach.  The following year brought Peter to Bloomfield College, where he assumed head duties in the fall of 2008.

Since he has taken the reigns, Falloon has guided the Bears/Deacons to six consecutive CACC playoff berths.  In 2008, his squad finished third in the CACC regular season standings, eventually losing in the first round of the conference tournament.  In 2009, a fifth-place finish in the regular season standings allowed the Deacons the opportunity to stage a Cinderella-like run to the CACC Tournament Final, including an upset of nationally-ranked Wilmington University.

The 2010 season saw the Bears/Deacons rise to regional prominence under Falloon, securing the program's first national ranking (reaching as high as number 13 in the NSCAA National Poll) the first number one ranking in the NCAA East Regional Poll, and the first NCAA Tournament berth in its history. Bloomfield earned a regular season CACC championship, and a second consecutive appearance in the CACC Tournament Final. In Falloon's tenure, the Bears have posted an overall record of 73-65-12 and reached the CACC Tournament in seven of his seasons at the helm of the program, capturing the title in 2016.

Currently residing in Montclair, New Jersey, Coach Falloon has been married for nine years to his wife, Marsha Mason-Falloon, and has a eight-year-old son, Dylan-Bryce.
