Jerome Robinson joins the Bloomfield College Bears Track & Field staff as an assistant coach in charge of jumps and hurdles training. Robinson is a SSA Certified Fitness Trainer and ISSA Certified Specialist in Strength and Conditioning. He is also a NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist.
Robinson's experience includes being; USA Track & Field Level III/IAAF Level V Certified Coach in Jumps, a USA Track & Field Level II Certified Sprints/Hurdles/Relays Coach and an Elite Track and Field Coach – USATF Registered. He coached athletes from various countries at the Pro/Elite Level. He has coached 12 athletes who have competed across the Olympic games in Sydney (2000), Athens (2004), London (2012) and Rio (2016).
Coach Robinson has produced over 50 NCAA and NJCAA All-Americans and National Champions, 9 IC4A/ECAC qualifiers in one season at St. Peter's University (most ever) and regularly produced USATF National Championships qualifiers across his coaching career.
As an athlete, Robinson competed at 1991 Outdoor and 1992 USA Indoor Nationals in the Long Jump. He qualified for 1996 Trials, but injury kept him from competing. He is a former Elite Track & Field athlete in the long jump and currently a top Masters Jumper and sprinter. Coach Robinson's personal record in the long jump is 8.29m and best time in the 100m is 10.39.
