Alexandria Smith has a lot to live up to if she plans on repeating the production she had in 2012.  Smith hopes to be 100% healthy for the 2013 season after battling through injuries for much of the 2012 season.  One of just two transfer students to receive 1st Team All-CACC honors in 2012, Smith again is going to be counted on tremendously for BC in 2013.  She is expected to continue in her roles as BC's #2 pitcher, starting outfielder and lethal bat in the lineup.  Her all-around game is one of the best in the CACC.

2012: Alexandria Smith had a tremendous debut season for Bloomfield after transferring from Eastern Arizona College.  She set a school record with 55 runs scored, a mark that led the CACC in 2012 and was the third-highest total in CACC history.  Smith was also second in the CACC with eight home runs and placed in the top-10 in the CACC in hits, doubles, walks, on base percentage and slugging.  For her efforts, she was named 1st Team All-CACC.  Smith also worked as Bloomfield's #2 pitcher, registering nine wins and four saves on the season.  Smith's top performance may have come in BC's opening round upset of Georgian Court in the CACC Tournament.  She went 4-5 with three runs scored and pitched the final three innings to pick up the save.  She also picked up the save in a 4-2 second-round win against Felician to become just the second pitcher ever to pick up two saves in a single CACC Tournament.
