Biography

Brandi Bodin returns to BC for her senior year as the team's top catcher once again.  Bodin has tremendous instincts behind the plate and in just one season established herself as one of the top defensive catchers in the CACC.  Bodin gained a reputation as an aggressive catcher who is able to keep opponents' running game in check with a strong arm and quick feet.  A capable hitter, Bodin has the potential to improve on her 2012 season at the plate as she now returns with one year's experience in the CACC.

2012: Bodin spent the 2012 season as Bloomfield's top catcher and one of the best defensive catchers in the CACC.  Bodin's quick reflexes helped her accumulate 19 assists on the season as a catcher.  Bodin allowed only seven stolen bases in CACC play, one of the lowest totals in the conference.  In four total games against Caldwell and Georgian Court (teams which combined for 157 stolen bases on the year), Bodin allowed just one stolen base.  Her biggest moment of the season though came against Post in the CACC playoffs.  Bodin stroked her first home run as a Deacon to break a 4-4 tie in the sixth inning to send BC to the CACC Tournament Finals.
