Biography

Ashton Corley comes into her senior year with the most impressive career any Deacon outfielder has had during the NCAA Division II era.  Her 137 career hits are the most by any Deacon outfielder during that time, topping the previous mark for outfielders of 130, set by Nicole Cagnino.  Corley has been a two-time 1st Team All-CACC performer and was a 2nd Team All-East Region outfielder in 2011.  In addition, Corley is a two-time CACC All-Academic Team member and three-time NFCA Academic All-American.  She is expected to remain in centerfield for Bloomfield and hold down her spot in the top of BC's lineup.

2012:
In 2012 Corley remained one of the key players on the Deacons, helping the top of their lineup remain one of the most dangerous in the CACC.  Corley added a knack for hitting doubles to her game in 2012 as her 17 doubles ranked 3rd in the CACC.  On March 7 against North Central College, Corley surpassed the 100 hit mark for her career.  She currently stands at 137 career hits, which places her in sixth place ni the Deacons' record book as a Division II school.

2011: Corley continued her career as one of the top outfielders to play for BC during the Division II era.  Despite suffering a late season ankle injury, Corley batted .350 and was 4th on the team with 48 hits.  Always a great contact hitter, Corley struck out just 7 times all season.  For her efforts, Corley was named 1st Team All-CACC for the 2nd year in a row and was also named 2nd Team All East Region by Daktronics.  She became the 1st Deacon outfielder to receive All East Region recognition.  Also a top student, Corley was an All-CACC Academic Team selection in 2011.

2010: Corley enjoyed one of the finest freshman campaigns of any first year player in the CACC.  The speedy outfielder from Escondido, CA was the only freshman to be named 1st Team All-CACC in 2010 after leading BC in hitting with a .336 average.  Corley also paced the team with 40 hits.  Her 2 run homer against Holy Family in the bottom of the 6th inning not only broke up a no-hitter, but led BC to a 2-1 come from behind win.  An outstanding contact hitter, Corley struck out just 5 times in 26 CACC contests.
