Leslie joins the Bloomfield College Bears softball team as an assistant coach for her second season. Her main responsibility will be pitching instruction for the Bears award winning pitching staff.
Leslie has over 30 years of playing and coaching experience, with an expertise in pitching instruction. Currently the owner of All*Starz Professional Baseball and Softball Instruction, Korkgy-Valenti enjoyed a standout career pitching for Leonia High School and Muhlenberg College. Regarded as one of the top pitchers in the state while at Leonia, Korkgy-Valenti had a record of 70-18 over her four years at the school. At Muhlenberg, she won 40 games across four seasons while logging nearly 500 innings pitched. She received multiple All-Conference and All-Region awards at Muhlenberg.
In 1995, Korkgy-Valenti turned down an opportunity to play professional softball in Italy to begin a teaching career. She was a high school teacher and head softball coach at Hasbrouck Heights High School in Bergen County for eight years. Korkgy-Valenti served as the pitching coach for Montclair State University and Felician College and is also a noted softball clinician in North Jersey. She has run clinics for the Newark Ironbound Softball Program, Glen Ridge Recreation and Oradell Softball Association among other organizations.
