Bloomfield College

Phil Delgado returns for his sixth year as Head Softball Coach at Bloomfield College of Montclair State University in 2024. Delgado will look to return the Bears to post-season play after appearing in the last three years of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament. In 2021 Delgado lead Bloomfield to an amazing tournament run after knocking off the #2 and #3 teams in the league to advance to the Championship Game.



After bringing in another strong recruiting class to compliment his core of returners from 2023, Delgado has the Bears poised to compete for the coveted CACC Title.

Delgado was an assistant coach at William Paterson University in 2017 & 18 and was the head softball coach at Montclair (2014-16) and Morristown Beard (2013-14) High Schools, as well as the assistant varsity football coach at Millburn High School (2012-13). Prior to that Delgado was the head of baseball and softball performance at Sports University in Fairfield from 2006-11. He was also an softball assistant coach at Bloomfield College from 2004-08.
 
He has been the owner and operator of Prodigy Training Sports Facility since 2011. Phil has traveled across the nation as an expert in hitting instruction and. has been a guest speaker at numerous softball camps and clinics.
 
Delgado attended William Paterson (2002-05) after studying at Bergen Community College (2000-01).
