Katie Aumann is expected to again play an important role on the Deacons as she enters her junior season.  Aumann has proven to be a reliable outfielder defensively and an apt baserunner with good speed.  Also a top student, Aumann has garnered All-CACC Academic, NFCA Academic All-American and D2ADA Academic Achievement Awards during her time at BC.

2012: Aumann appeared in 28 games for the Deacons as a sophomore and played a number of roles for the team.  She contributed solidly as part of a deep outfield for Bloomfield and pitched in five games.  Aumann also worked as a pinch runner as one of the top baserunners on the team.  She batted .333 on the season and had multi-hit games against Northwood (Fl) and Chestnut Hill.   

2011: Aumann was the starting right fielder as a freshman on opening day in 2011, and showed signs of being a top defender and good baserunner.  She began the season as the Deacons #3 pitcher, but an early season ankle injury caused her to miss over 25 games.  Aumann's return bolstered a thin Deacons pitching staff and helped the squad make a push towards the playoffs.  She had key releif appearances in 1 run wins against Dominican and Holy Family and pitched well in a 3-1 win over Goldey-Beacom.
