Biography

2014-2015: Melissa Yepez cmes to Bloomfield after a fine career at Long Beach City College in California.  An athletic leader who can play both infield or outfield, Yepez hopes to be a major factor for the Bears immediately.  After performing well in the fall, Yepez has the inside track to start the season as Bloomfield's centerfielder and also has the ability to play the middle infield positions as well.  She also projects as a top of the lineup hitter for the Bears as well.  Yepez hit .351 last season for LBCC playing against very strong competition in California.
