Bloomfield College

Nicole Cagnino has been a mainstay in the Deacons outfield over the past 3 years and has enjoyed a fine career in Bloomfield.  She is part of a class that should become the all-time winningest class in the Division II era for BC and has been a leader on and off the field. If Cagnino continues with her development, she should end her college career in the top 10 of many of the Deacons' offensive statistical categories.  Cagnino has also been active in the Bloomfield College SAAC Committee. 


2008: Cagnino enjoyed another strong offensive season for the Deacons in 2008.  She batted .319 on the year with a .407 slugging percentage and 15 RBI.  Batting in the #5 position for most of the season, Cagnino posted a .370 on base percentage behind 43 hits (third on the team) and 11 walks (second on the team).  Never one to shy away from a clutch situation, Cagnino's most clutch hit of 2008 may have come against Caldwell.  With the Deacons trailing 5-3 in the bottom of the 7th, Cagnino drove a double into right centerfield to plate two runs, tying the game at 5.  She also had an RBI single in the middle of a 4-run rally in a 4-2 win over Felician. 

2009: Cagnino had another solid season in the outfield for BC.  She showed improved defense in left field and, as usual, provided her share of clutch hits for the Deacons.  She recorded her 100th career hit against Felician when she crushed a double into right center field in the middle of a 7th inning rally which saw the Deacons secure a come from behind win.
