Biography

Samantha Dugan comes into her senior year after starting nearly every game for the Deacons at second base in 2012.  She showed the ability to get clutch hits and was one of the top baserunners on the team.  In 2013 Dugan again is expected to play a big role on the team as an infielder and on the basepaths.

2012: Dugan started 53 of the team's 54 games at second base and provided many key moments for the team in 2012.  Dugan's most important hit came against Goldey-Beacon at a time when the team was struggling.  Trailing 3-2 in the top of the sixth inning, Dugan hit a two-out single to tie the game and spur BC on to a 7-3 wn.  BC went on a streak after that of winning 7 of their next 10 games.  Dugan hit her first career home run on March 4, her third game as a Deacon.  She had seven multi-hit games in 2012.
