Selena Kershaw enters her second year on the sidelines for the Bears as an assistant in 2017-2018. Kershaw is a graduate of New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) in 2006 where she majored in Information Technology.
On the court for the Highlanders, Selena set a school single-season record for field goal percentage (.480) in her freshman year and led NJIT in rebounding and blocks. She was an All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) 3rd Team member in the 2004/05 and 2005/06 seasons. In her senior year, Kershaw once again led the Highlanders in rebounding and blocked shots and finished her career as the second leading rebounder (780) in school history and fifth on the career scoring list with 1,072 points.
Prior to arriving at Bloomfield, Selena was an assistant women's basketball coach for Saint Thomas Aquinas College (STAC) in Sparkill, N.Y. from 2007 to 2012 under head coach Kim Lusk.
Coach Kershaw is married to her wonderful husband, Hassan and they have a beautiful four-year-old daughter, Mackenzie.
