Bianca Brown

Bianca Brown enters her first season as Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Bloomfield College after a successful career as the head coach for the girls’ basketball program at Montclair High School in Montclair, NJ. 
 
Coach Brown is a former Division I point guard who played 4 years at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Exercise Science. After college, Coach Brown played professionally in Germany and Nigeria before deciding she wanted to become a coach.
 
In 2006, Coach Brown spent one season at Montclair State University as an assistant coach under Beth O’Boyle.  In 2009, she accepted a high school position, coaching the freshman team at Columbia High School.  In 2010, she became the Head Coach at her alma mater, Montclair High School.  Since 2010 Coach Brown continued the Montclair Girls' Basketball Team's reputation as one of the top teams in New Jersey and also put her own mark on the program in the process.  She helped develop Montclair’s first ever McDonald’s All-American (Myisha Hines-Allen) in addition to multiple All-Conference, All-County and All-State players. She guided her teams to three 20-win records in 5 seasons, top rankings in the Super Essex Conference, Essex County and her teams were ranked in the NJ Top 20 for 4 seasons in a row.  In 2012 and 2015, Coach Brown was recognized as “Essex County Coach of the Year” by both The Star Ledger (2012) and Sideline Chatter (2015).
