Biography
Karelys De La Cruz returns to the Deacons for her senior year after another strong season as BC's stopper in 2007. De La Cruz was the Deacons' most improved player last season before an injury forced her to miss the final 4 games of the year. Prior to her injury, De La Cruz had started all 13 games for the Deacons. Against Lincoln University, De La Cruz provided one of the highlights of the season for BC. Playing forward for the first time in her career, De La Cruz scored a beautiful goal late in the game off a cross from Jerrica Lavooy. It was her first career goal. De La Cruz had five shots on goal last season and also added one assist.
