Tigers Hold off Lady Deacons 50-46

Bloomfield, NJ-  Holy Family's perfect CACC season seemed to be in jeopardy late in the game against the Lady Deacons this afternoon, but the Tigers would hit two free throws to give them a 4 point lead at 50-46  with 8 seconds remaining to ice the game.  The Tigers are now 17-0 in conference play, and sit at 24-4 overall.  The Lady Deacons fall to 10-6 in the CACC and 13-12 on the season.

Holy Family took control of the game in the first ten minutes of play, leading by 12 at 19-7.  BC would work to cut the Tiger lead to 3 late in the half after a 14-5 run, before eventually going into the break down 5 at 26-21.

Holy Family would again push their lead to as many as ten in the second half, but the Lady Deacons would battle to cut the deficit to 2 with 10 seconds left.  Holy Family would convert both attempts from the free throw line to seal the game.

Tiffany McDaniel would add another double-double to her season total, putting up 15 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.  Vanessa Lamison registered 9 points, with 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals in the losing effort.
