Lady Deacons win second-straight CACC tilt, top Wilmington 72-54

WILMINGTON, De. (December 10, 2011) -
Sophomore forward Lauren Deverin (Sewarin, N.J.) led Bloomfield with a game-high 18 points Saturday afternoon, as the Lady Deacons improved to 3-4 overall and 2-2 in conference play with a 72-54 road victory over CACC South Division rival Wilmington University. 

Deverin added six rebounds, an assist and a steal to continue her outstanding play off the bench, leading a trio of Bloomfield players to reach double-figures in scoring.  Senior point guard Emily Hall (Montclair, N.J.) netted 12 points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals in a standout all-around effort, while rookie center Tierra Scott (Bear, De.) totaled 11 points, six rebounds and four steals.  Senior Vanessa Lamison (Laurel, Md.) tallied seven points, seven rebounds and five assists on the afternoon, contributing a pair of steals to help the Lady Deacons total a season-high 16 thefts in the contest. 

Bloomfield returns to action Saturday, December 17 with a road contest against non-conference opponent Elizabeth City State University.  Tip-off for the contest is set for 6:00 PM.
