CALDWELL, N.J. – The Bloomfield College volleyball team saw their five-game win streak come to a close in a 5-set thriller against Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division rival, Caldwell University Wednesday night on the road. The 3-2 setback left the Bears with a 19-5 overall record and a 12-4 conference mark while the Cougars improved to 20-10 on the season and sit at 12-5 in CACC play.

Freshman outside Kali Viles (McKinney, T.X.) recorded a team-high, 14 kills and sophomore libero Samantha Rios (Juncos, P.R.) added a team-high 26 digs, as the visiting team jumped out to capture the first set 25-19.  The Cougars found an answer in the second set as the home team posted a 25-10 win to tie the match at 1-1.

Bloomfield seized the momentum in Set 3 battling thru an intense 29-27 win however the Cougars clawed back with a 25-21 advantage in Set 4 to even the match again (2-2) and force a fifth and deciding set.
