WOMEN'S BASKETBALL BEGIN QUEST FOR BACK-TO-BACK CACC TITLES

BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – The Bloomfield College women's basketball team will host the Tigers of Holy Family University in the quarterfinals of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 2:00 p.m. in the Bloomfield College Gym. The Bears (17-9 overall) earned the second seed in the CACC North Division finishing with a 15-4 conference record. Bloomfield will look to defend their CACC title from a year ago.
 
The Tigers (20-7 overall) enter the CACC Tournament as the third seed in the South after a 14-5 record in conference action. Earlier this season, the Bears defeated Holy Family, 79-70 for the first time on the road in over ten years on Jan. 31st in Philadelphia, P.A.
 
The quarterfinal winners will meet in the semifinals on Friday, Mar. 6 at Philadelphia University. The highest remaining seed will play at 12:00 p.m., with the second semifinal beginning at 2:00 p.m. The championship game is Saturday, Mar. 7 at 4:00 p.m., also at Philadelphia, which serves as the host for both the men's and women's conference tournaments this year. The CACC Tournament champion receives an automatic bid into the NCAA Division II East Region Tournament.
 
Admission for Saturday's quarterfinal game at Bloomfield is $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children, students and seniors.
