SPARKHILL, N.Y. - The Bloomfield women's soccer team was tripped up on the road Sunday afternoon, falling to non-conference foe, St. Thomas Aquinas College (STAC), 4-0.

STAC (2-0) scored two goals in the first half and two goals in the second half to cement the regional victory over the Bears.

Bloomfield's (0-2) offense managed ten shots total for the game with six of them on target, while the Spartans took 22 and put 13 on-goal.

Sophomore goalkeeper
Emira Sela (Staten Island, N.Y.), who played into the 83
rd minute gave up four goals and picked up nine saves on the afternoon. Freshman goalkeeper
Adeline Argabrite (Bloomfield, N.J.) saw her first action of the year in the final seven-plus minutes of the game.
Lisa Parello (Staten Island, N.Y) and
Stephanie Rivera (Brooklyn, N.Y.) provided the visiting team's offense a spark with four shots each and senior
Chelsea Johnson (Hamilton, N.J.) put one shot on goal for the afternoon.Â

The Bears will return to action Saturday with their home opener and first conference matchup when they host the Lions of Georgian Court University. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference showdown is slated for 1:30 p.m. at Foley Field. Live Stats and Video will be available.
