Location: Bobby Morgan Arena / Philadelphia, Pa.

How It Happened
  • Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Co-Rookie of the Week, Dontay Julius (Linden, N.J.) provided a spark for the visitor's offensice as he scored all of his ten points during the opening frame. Bloomfield found themselves down at the half, 41-31 with USciences shooting a blistering 53.6 percent (15-for-28) from the field heading into intermission
  • Bloomfield's top-two scorers on the season got off to slow starts as Nick Davidson (Lumberton, N.J.) and CACC Co-Player of the Week, Rakwan Kelly (Newark, N.J.) combined for eight first half points and two rebounds. The Bears trailed by as-many-as twelve (41-29) before two Kelly free throws sent the CACC North Division's second team into the locker room with a 10-point deficit
  • Despite being down, the visitors came out determined to chip away in the second half and whittled the Devils lead all the way down to two (58-56) on a Chiedozie Akawuaku (Newark, N.J.) bucket in the paint. USciences would not be denied on this afternoon however and sprang ahead on a 13-2 run over a four minute span to reclaim control and come away with the inter-divisional victory
  • Kelly finished with 11 points and 6 boards while Akawuaku finished with 8 points and a team-high 7 rebounds for the afternoon

Up Next: Bloomfield will try to bounce back with another CACC inter-divisional faceoff when the Wildcats from Wilmington University step into The Den on Tuesday, January 10. The match up with the South Division's top team is set to tip-off at 7:30 pm.
