How It Happened
•
Nick Davidson (Lumberton, N.J.) got the Bears on the board first with a bucket in the paint. Bloomfield raced out to a 7-0 run after a long range three-pointer from
Ignacio Diez (Madrid, Spain). The visitors flex to an eleven-point advantage (15-4) before the Clippers knocked in ten straight to pull to within 15-14
• Bloomfield remained in control and reopened their 11-point margin (33-22) with 4:49 to go in the opening half. The Bears settled for a 41-35 edge as the teams went into the locker rooms. The visitors shot a cool 50.0 percent from the field (17-of-34) as
Ignacio Diez (Madrid, Spain) led the way with 10 points on 4-of-6 from the floor
• In a classic tale of two halves, Concordia shot a blistering 55.6 percent from the field (20-36) and held the Bears to just 36.1 percent (13-36). It took the home team less than four minutes to draw even at, 49-49 and they never looked back from there
• The Clippers reeled off the next eight-straight points to push the visitors on their heels. Bloomfield never recovered and fell behind by 19 (93-74) with less than two minutes remaining on the clock before Concordia closed out the upset
Up Next: The regionally ranked Bears will try to bounce back on Saturday when the Cougars of Caldwell University stop by the Den for another CACC North Division showdown. A win would clinch the division regular season title for Bloomfield and be a proper send off as they celebrate Senior Day prior to the 3:00 pm tip-off.
