PHILADELPHIA, Pa. –Two double-doubles and five players in double-digits was not enough for the top team in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division as Bloomfield fell on the road to the Tigers of Holy Family University Saturday afternoon, 90-85. The wild inter-divisional battle featured
Ignacio Diez (Madrid, Spain) notched a double-double in his first start of the season, scoring a team-high 18 points to go along with 11 boards.
Rakwan Kelly (Newark, N.J.) also recorded a double-double (15 points and 11 rebounds) while
Nick Davidson (Lumberton, N.J.) added 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field but the Bears had no answer for Randy Bell and Dyllion Hudson-Emory who willed their team to victory with 38 and 25 points respectively.

- The Bears pressed ahead again to a 40-31 advantage with 3:07 to go in the opening period but once again the tigers dug deep and pulled out a 12-3 run to end the half tied at 43-43
- Holy Family came out of the break charged up and reeled off a 7-0 spurt that quickly put the road team on their heels but the CACC North Division leaders would not scare easily and mounted a comeback of their own and knotted the score at 57-57 with 13:55 to go
- The teams traded buckets back and forth down the stretch, as neither team could fully take control of the game to pull ahead. Holy Family seized the momentum with 1:16 remaining and went up 86-85 after a Davidson turnover
- Bloomfield failed to score another point and the Tigers sealed the CACC upset from the free throw and closed out the home victory
