How It Happened
- 1st inning – Anthony Maldonado (Newark, N.J.) got the nod on the mound and pitched six innings for the Bears. He gave up just two runs that came in the top of the second on a fielder's choice and double down the third-base line. Maldonado soon settled in and kept the Skyhawks off the board until he was pulled at the end of the sixth. He finished the outing with two strikeouts
- 5th inning – While trailing 1-2, Bears first basemen, Harry Montero (Millville, N.J.) tied the game at 2-2 with a fielders choice groundout to shortstop
- 8th inning – Bloomfield was determined to even up the series against the Skyhawks during a heated matchup that was even through seven. After a leadoff double from Christopher Cabral (Lodi, N.J.), Pichardo singled up the middle to give the Bears a 3-2 lead. Bloomfield was not done yet as Morillo capped the scoring with a single to right, driving in Jonathan Carratala (Hialeah, FLA) – the hit extended the Bears lead to 4-2
