How It Happened
  • 1st inning – Patrick Haas (Haddonfield, N.J.) got the nod on the mound and pitched four innings for the Bears. Haas gave up five earned runs and walked four. Six other pitchers contributed for Bloomfield, with both Kendon Strachan (West Hempstead, N.Y.) and Castellano throwing scoreless innings in relief. The Bears walked a total of 12 batters while only striking out four.
  • 6th inning – The Bears offense came alive in the sixth, scoring three runs. Pichardo got the offense going with an RBI double that scored Harry Montero (Millville, N.J.). It was then an Anthony Lantigua (Belleville, N.J.) single that drove in Pichardo and capped the scoring streak for the Bears.
  • 7th inning – After a solid sixth inning, the Bears continued to put runs on the board in the seventh. Jonathan Carratala (Hialeah, Fla.) opened the scoring with an RBI single that drove in Juan Reina (Paterson, N.J.). After an error by the Adelphi shortstop that scored Christopher Cabral (Lodi, N.J.), it was once again Lantigua with an RBI single that topped off the Bears scoring for the inning.

Up Next: The Bears hope to get back on the winning track tomorrow against Molloy College in West Palm Beach, Fla.
