LYNDHURST, NJ – Bloomfield College men's soccer team took a trip to the Lyndhurst Recreational Center and faced Felician University in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action. The Bears squeezed out a, 1-0 victory on the visitor's turf as the Golden Falcons fell to 2-9-1 overall and 2-6 in league games.
The CACC rivals played a scoreless first half but things heated up in the 2
ndstanza of play. Freshman goalkeeper,
Alex Idrovo (North Bergen, NJ) made his 5
thstart of 2018 and registered his third clean sheet with the shutout of the Golden Falcons. The game winning goal came with a little over five minutes remaining in the contest when junior captain,
Bryan Medina (Dover, NJ) fired a blast from outside the 18 that ricocheted off the Felician keeper and into the net. The goal was Medina's 1
stof the season and extended Bloomfield's winning-streak to four games.
After starting the year, 0-7 the Bears now stand at 4-7 overall, with a 3-5 mark in CACC matches and inching closer, game-by-game to their post-season goal.
Bloomfield's next contest will be on the road Saturday, October 13
thwhen they battle Wilmington University. The Wildcats and Bears will square off with a 2:30 pm first touch in Delaware.
