WILMINGTON, DEL. – The Bears men's soccer team were defeated on the road by the Wildcats of Wilmington University Saturday afternoon, 2-0 snapping a four-game win streak. Bloomfield fell to 4-8 overall and 3-6 in league play after the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) loss while the Wildcats improved to 9-1-4 on the season and 6-1-2 in conference.
The teams played to a scoreless tie in the first half with the visitors only managing 2 shots as the Wildcats fired off 10 shots. The Bears rookie goalkeeper,
Alex Idrovo (North Bergen, NJ) made 7 saves on the day but allowed two second half goals that proved to be the difference in the 52
ndand 71
stminutes. The Bloomfield offense sputtered all day, offering up just one shot on goal in the contest.
The Bears will look to re-group when they return home for their next CACC battle on Wednesday. The Clippers from Concordia College come to town for a 7:00 pm showdown under the lights at Foley Field.
