SPARKILL, NY– The Bloomfield College men's basketball team captured their second consecutive road victory Wednesday night with a, 94-93 win over Saint Thomas Aquinas College (STAC). The Bears snapped the 18^th ranked National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Spartans' five game win streak and dropped them to 5-1 on the year while improving to 2-3 themselves after the decision at Aquinas Hall Gym.
 
The intermission break saw the visitors trailing by seven (45-52) as STAC converted 22 field goals in the opening half of play. Bloomfield clawed back in the 2^nd half on the strength of 17-of-29 shooting from the floor (58.6 percent), including 6-of-12 from beyond the arc. 
 
The Bears offense, which had 6 players score in double-digits for the first time this year, was led by senior, Keith Washington (Philadelphia, PA) who poured in a game-high, 21 points. Kavione Green (Amityville, NY) followed closely behind his classmate with 18 points while freshman, Jahaud Lowber (Deptford, NJ) recorded his best game as a Bear, going 4-of-5 from the field and 3-of-4 from the line for 13 points.

Bloomfield will continue their road warrior spirit when they travel to Connecticut to face The University of Bridgeport Saturday afternoon. The showdown between the two NCAA Tournament East Regional teams from a year ago is set for a 2:00 pm start.
