OLD WESTBURY, NY – The Bloomfield College volleyball team dropped both games of their third consecutive tri-match to begin the 2018 season. The Bears suffered non-conference setbacks on the road Sunday to NYIT and The College of Saint Rose at the CACC, ECC & NE10 Crossover Cup in Old Westbury.

In a 10:00 am first match of the day, Bloomfield saw junior,
Danielle Quintanar (El Paso, TX) dig out 14 balls while adding 4 kills and a block. Freshman,
Jakara Henry (Houston, TX) continued her solid play with seven digs, two blocks and a service ace for the visitors.
The offensive attack in Match 1 of the day went thru and junior transfer,
Juliette Tygret (Gilbert, AZ) who tallied 18 assists.
Saint Rose 3, Bloomfield 0
The Bears handed over the offensive payload in their second match to
Laityn Sarna (Las Vegas, NV) as she registered 17 assists against the Golden Knights. Sophomore libero,
Junelly Marrero (Las Vegas, Cantano, Puerto Rico) posted a career-high, 23 digs in the match while
Delanie Cruz (Chicago, IL) chipped in 10 digs and an assist.
Bloomfield will take some time to rest up before their next set of tri-matches scheduled for Sept 7
th& 8
that the Marauder Clash. The Bears are set to travel to Millersvile, Pa. to face Millersville, West Chester, USciences and Shepherd across the two-day clash. They will battle the hosts on Friday at 1:00 pm and then the Golden Rams at 5:00 pm. Then on Saturday they will wrestle with the Devils at 12:00 pm and then the Rams at 4:00 pm. Live stats and Live video streaming will be available for each match.
