PHILADELPHIA, PA– The Bloomfield College men's basketball team climbed over .500 for the first time this season after a, 98-64 win on the road Saturday afternoon. The Bears saw three players with double-double performances against Chestnut Hill as they pushed their perfect Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) record to 6-0 and 8-7 overall.
The Griffins (3-12, 0-6 CACC) found themselves in a 24-point deficit (57-33) going into halftime with Bloomfield converting over fifty-two percent (21-of-40) of their shots.
Kavione Green (Amityville, NY) secured his double-double in the opening half of play, registering 22 points and 10 rebounds.
Green finished the day with a career-high, 31 points to go along with 16 rebounds.
Rich Chapman (Newark, NJ) recorded the second double-double of his career, putting up 13 points and 11 rebounds while senior guard,
Keith Washington (Philadelphia, PA) posted a career-high, 13 assists alongside 12 points.
Dontay Julius (Linden, NJ) came off the bench and chipped in 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting, including 4-of-7 from long range.
The Bears will return to CACC action on Wednesday when they travel to Felician University. The battle at Job Gymnasium with the Golden Falcons is set for an 8:00 pm tip.
