ORANGEBURG, NY– The women's basketball team traveled up the Garden State Parkway North to face their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) division rival Tuesday evening and suffered a, 68-56 setback. The Chargers dropped the Bears to 4-14 overall and 3-6 in league match-ups while improving their divisional leading record to 6-2 with an 8-9 overall mark.
 
The visitors fought tough in the first quarter of the game and carved out a, 16-16 tie at the end of the frame but Dominican galloped in front with a, 23-11 2^ndquarter. Bloomfield went into the locker room at halftime shooting just 35.7 percent from the field and at a, 39-27 deficit on the scoreboard. 
 
The Chargers continued to stretch the advantage when they took to Coach Baxter Court in the 3^rd quarter and opened up a, 59-38 lead to start the final frame. The Bears clawed out 18 points in the fourth quarter but the league game had already been decided. 
 
Freshman, Caitlin Townes (Newark, NJ) was the lone Bloomfield player in double-figures with 11 points on the night. Deja McKenzie (Baltimore, MD) grabbed a team-high seven rebounds to go along with nine points.
 
The Bears try to get back on track when they hit the road to face Georgian Court University on Saturday. The game time has been set for 1:00 pm against the Lions.
