Philadelphia, PA - The Bloomfield College women's volleyball team concluded their 2019 regular season campaign Friday night with a, 3-0 setback against the Tigers of Holy Family University. The loss left the Bears with a 15-12 overall record and an 11-8 mark in league play but marked their first return to post-season play in two years.
The field and matchups are officially set for the 2019 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Volleyball Championship, which gets underway on Tuesday with the quarterfinals at the sites of the highest seeds. Tuesday's four winners will advance to CACC Championship Weekend, with the semifinals and championship final on Saturday-Sunday at Holy Family University in Philadelphia, Pa.
The regular season concluded on Saturday with Georgian Court University and Felician University winning the CACC South and North Division Regular Season Championships, respectively. GCU also earned the No. 1 overall seed for the championship by defeating the Golden Falcons during the regular season.
The winner of the CACC Championship will also earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division II East Region Tournament, which will be held the first weekend of December following the Thanksgiving holiday.
