WATERBURY, CONN– After a tricky bus ride up north thru a snow squall the Bloomfield College women's basketball team arrived at the Drubner Center to take on Post University and dropped an 86-53 decision to the Eagles. The first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) setback of the season left the Bears with a 3-8 overall record and 2-1 in league games. The Eagles improved to 7-2 on the year with a perfect 2-0 record in conference play.

Bloomfield fell behind early and found themselves down 52-30 at the halftime break. The Bears never challenged the Eagles in the 2nd half and the home team soared, snapping Bloomfield's three-game win streak. Dashanique Ruffin (Paterson, NJ) led the offense with 16 points on 7-of-15 scoring from the field and added 7 rebounds. Ivanna Negron (North Bergen, NJ) went 3-of-4 from beyond three-point range for 9 points on the evening.

The Bears will look to regroup in their next contest when they host Caldwell University on Saturday, December 21st. The Cougars step into The Den for a CACC North Division battle schedule for a 1:00 pm tip-off.
