BLOOMFIELD, NJ– The Bloomfield Bear's women's basketball team was met with stiff competition from the Felician University Golden Falcons Tuesday night at The Den, with the home team suffering a, 71-62 setback. Bloomfield fell to 5-16 on the year and 4-8 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play.
The first quarter ended with Felician (7-11, 7-4 CACC) on top, 8-7. By halftime intermission Bloomfield clawed back and took a, 22-21 lead into the locker room. The two teams didn't let up and were neck and neck throughout the whole game until the Golden Falcons prevailed with a 25-22 fourth quarter.

Deja McKenzie (Batlimore, MD) and freshman forward
Siani Smith (Burlington, NJ) shined with 10 and 7 rebounds respectively as the senior notched a double-double, scoring 14 points. Another highlight of the night was freshman guard
Caitlin Townes (Newark, NJ) who scored a team-high 22 points.
The next challenge for the team will be in Philadelphia, where the Bears will go head to head against the Holy Family University Tigers. The two teams will square off on Saturday, February 9
that 1:00 pm.
