BLOOMFIELD, NJ - The Bloomfield College women's volleyball team picked up two victories on Saturday afternoon at The Den. First, in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) battle with Concordia College, the Bears secured a, 3-0 sweep followed by a, 3-1 victory over non-conference foe, Pace University. By the end of the day, Bloomfield pushed thier overall record to 5-4 and 2-1 in conference matches.
In game 1 of the afternoon, the home team took the Clippers down with set scores of 25-22, 25-21 and 25-18. Senior
Danielle Quintanar (El Paso, TX) led the way with a team-high 10 kills and added 7 digs. Classmate,
Juliette Tygret (Gilbert, AZ) paced the offense with 32 assists and junior libero,
Junelly Marrero (Cantano, PR) added 20 digs to the Bears winning cause.
The 2nd game of the day saw Tygret distribute a game-high 43 assists while Marrero recorded a season-high 27 digs. Senior,
Jandra Fabian (Santa Doningo, DR) made her mark against the Pacesetters with a team-high 14 kills.
After their third-consecutive win, Bloomfield's next match up will come on Wednesday, October 2nd when they hit the road to face Post University. The CACC battle in Waturbury is set for a 7:00 pm start.
