BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Bloomfield College men's basketball team squeezed out their second consecutive win Saturday afternoon in a, 78-75 decision over USciences. The Bears clawed out the 3-point victory and moved to an even 8-8 overall and 5-4 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play while the Devils fell to 3-11 on the year and 1-6 in league match-ups.
The first half saw the home team stretch out to a seven point lead as Rich Chapman (Newark, NJ) registered 11 points with Bloomfield up 40-33 at halftime. In the second half, Safee Abdus-Sabur (Newark, NJ) caught fire, dropping 6-of-10 from the field, including 4-of-6 from beyond three-point range.
