NYACK, N.Y. – Bloomfield senior guard, Dontay Julius (Linden, NJ) recorded a season-high 28 points Wednesday night in an 88-64 win over Nyack College. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) road victory marked the Bears third-straight and improved their overall record to 9-8. The Warriors fell to 7-8 overall with a 2-5 mark in league games. 

Julius began the game red-hot, shooting 8-of-13 from the field including 5-of-9 from three-point range. The Bears shot 48.6 percent (17-for-35) as a team in the first half and built a 44-22 lead at the break. The 2nd half became more of the same as Bloomfield converted 17-of-34 shots from the floor and moved their conference record to 5-3 for the season.

Junior transfer, Darin Bellinger (Stroudsburg, PA) netted his season-high, an 18 point effort on 6-of-9 shots from beyond three-point range. Matt Lajeunesse (Union, NJ) and Tariq McKenith (Newark, NJ) each grabbed seven rebounds and posted 8 points against the Warriors. Lajeunesse dished out 4 assists while McKenith had 5 helpers to go along with 4 steals. 

Bloomfield returns to the hardwood on Saturday, January 18 when they host Holy Family University in The Den. Tip-Off for the CACC battle against the Tigers is  set for a 3:00 pm tip-off.
