NYACK, NY – The Bears women's basketball team saw a late 4th quarter surge from the Warriors of Nyack College result in a 62-58 setback Wednesday evening. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) road loss dropped Bloomfield to 4-13 overall and 3-5 in league games. The home team improved to 6-8 on the year and 4-3 in conference play.

The Bears secured a 36-25 lead at halftime and seemed to have the game in control heading into the intermission. After pulling to within seven (44-37) after three quarters, Nyack used a 25-14 4th period to secure the CACC North Division victory.

Dashanique Ruffin (Paterson, NJ) led the visitors on the blocks, snagging a game-high, 15 rebounds and added 9 points. Sophomore Siani Smith (Burlington, NJ) took advantage of being inserted in the starting line-up and led the offense with 13 points on 5-of-8 scoring from the field. Alaisha Mumford (Jersey City, NJ) and Jaylah Bennett (Newark, NJ) registered 12 and 11 points respectively. 

Bloomfield will return home in their next contest as they host Holy Family  University on Saturday, January 18th. The Tigers visit The Den for a CACC battle schedule for a 1:00 pm tip-off.
