BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Bears men's basketball team took on their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division rivals, Felician University Wednesday evening and picked a, 75-69 victory. The win in The Den lifted Bloomfield to 4-4 in league games and 7-8 overall while the Golden Falcons fell to 4-8 overall and 2-2 in conference match-up with the setback.
Safee Abdus-Sabur (Newark, NJ) registered a team-high of 21 points while Rich Chapman (Newark, NJ) followed closely with 20 points of his own. The tandem sparked the Bears second half comeback after the home team trailed by two (36-34) heading into the halftime break. Tariq McKenith (Newark, NJ) chipped in 11 points, nine of which came in the second half and Bloomfield came away with the solid conference win to halt a three-game slide.
Bloomfield returns the court this Saturday, January 8, to square off with USciences in The Den. The CACC match-up with the Devils is set for a 3:00 pm tip.
