BLOOMFIELD, NJ - The Bloomfield College women's basketball team dropped a 73-61 decision to Felician University on Wednesday evening at The Den. The loss, the Bears third-straight, left the team with a 4-11 overall record and a 3-3 mark in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play. The Golden Falcons improved to 2-10 on the season and scored their first win in league play (1-4) with the victory.
DaShanique Ruffin (Paterson, NJ) had a good day at the office, securing her 4th double-double of the season as she posted team-highs of 17 points and 15 rebounds. Sophomore Jaylah Bennett (Newark, NJ) tickled the nets for 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field. The Bears started the game with a 13-2 run but ir was all Golden Falcons after that as the visitors reeled off a 24-3 run that Bloomfield never recovered from.
The Bears return to CACC action in The Den this Saturday when those host the nationally ranked Devils of USciences. The game with the nation's 24th ranked team is set for a 1:00 pm tip-off with Live Stats and Video available on the website.
