BLOOMFIELD, NJ - The Bloomfield College women's basketball team kicked off their season with a, 75-70 victory over Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) foe, Nyack College, on Thursday evening. The home opener in The Den had a different aura with the absence of fans but the energy level was still high as the Bears clawed out their first season opening win under head coach, Vanessa Watson.

Redshirt Sophomore, Dashanique Ruffin (Paterson, NJ) had a monster night, dropping 26 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the floor and snagged 12 boards for her 6th career double-double. Redshirt freshman, Myasia Jackson (Trenton, NJ) made the most of her debut in a Bears uniform, netting 12 points to go along with 6 rebounds while junior, forward, SianiSmith (Burlington, NJ) chipped in 10 points to round out Bloomfield's top point-getters. 

Next up, the Bears take the show on the road to face the Clippers on Saturday, January 30th. The CACC showdown is set to tip-off at 12:00 pm with Live Stats and Video available.
