BLOOMFIELD, NJ – For the second time this season the Bloomfield College women's volleyball team used five sets to defeat, Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponent, Felician University. The Wednesday night showdown in The Den saw Bloomfield improve to 8-6 overall and 7-4 in the CACC as they continue to sit atop the league's North Division. The Golden Falcons fell to an even 6-6 record in conference play and 8-16 overall.
Freshman outside hitter,
Jaizahir Marrero (Carolina Puerto, Rico) had her best game in a Bloomfield uniform as she led the comeback attack with 21 kills and added 6 blocks. The career-high game for the Bears' Biology major gave her a team-leading, 150 kills on the season. Sophomore setter,
Lauryn Hansford (Plainfield, NJ) paced the Bloomfield offense with 40 assists, as she now ranks 3
rd in the CACC with 8.60 assists per set. Freshman libero,
Sophia Wintonick (Colonia, NJ) registered a game-high 20 digs and helped the home team claw-back into the game after being down, 2-0 in the match.
