LAKEWOOD, N.J. (November 20, 2021) --Â A pair of come-from-behind rallies that went five sets highlighted one of the most thrilling days in CACC Women's Volleyball Championship history on Saturday. Thomas Jefferson University rallied from 2-0 down to defeat defending champ Holy Family University, 3-2, and Bloomfield College came from 2-1 down in the match and 8-4 down in the fifth set to pull off a 3-2 triumph over Wilmington University in the semifinals of the 2021 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship at the Wellness Center in Lakewood, N.J.
Bloomfield and Jefferson will square off in the CACC Championship Final on Sunday at 12 p.m., on the Georgian Court University campus in Lakewood. The Bears are the North No. 1 seed, while the Rams are the South No. 3 seed. The winner of tomorrow's championship final will not only raise the CACC trophy and banner, but will also earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division II East Region Tournament in two weeks at a site to be determined.

Jess Molen had 24 kills, Sam Mann followed with 14 and Morgan Ritchie added 13, as the Rams won sets three (29-27), four (25-23) and five (18-16) to pull off the come-from-behind rally. Molen hit .339 and Mann smashed at a .321 rate. Molen had a double-double with 12 digs as well. Cameron Johnson had 23 assists for the Rams, as they advanced to the CACC Championship Final for the first time since the 2017 campaign. Carly Covington had 21 kills for HFU and Morgan Silks posted 63 assists, as the Tigers hit .267 as a team.

Esther Dogbe hit .377 and exploded with a career-high 29 kills, as BC rallied in sets four and five to advance to the CACC Championship Final. Bloomfield opened the match with a 25-19 triumph, but saw WilmU roar back with victories in sets two and three. A young Bear squad kept its composure and pulled off a convincing 25-16 triumph in set four. WilmU opened the fifth set by scoring four of the first five points and eventually held an 8-4 lead, but BC scored eight of the match's next 10 points to take a 12-10 lead before winning in extra points.
Karla Burgos had 18 kills for Bloomfield and Jaizahir Marrero followed with 14. Lauryn Hansford had a career-high 64 assists and Sophia Wintonick logged 28 digs. Mandy Behiels had 17 kills for the Wildcats in the setback, while Jessica Connelly and Heather Pedrick totaled 10 kills apiece.
