BLOOMFIELD, NJ - The Bloomfield College men's basketball team used a 2nd half comeback to defend The Den in a, 74-69 win over Felician University. The Tuesday evening victory avenged a Bear loss to the Golden Falcons a week ago on the road and improved Bloomfield's record to 4-3 overall and 4-3 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) games. Felician fell to an even, 2-2 on the season both overall and in conference play.
The home team trailed, 38-29 after the first half but exploded in the second frame, 45-31 to secure the league win. Sophomore guard,
Isaiah Sparks (Ewing, NJ) netted a team-high, 19 points that went along with 6 rebounds.
Rich Chapman (Newark, NJ) continued his stellar role playing as he came off the bench to score all 15 of his points in the second half. The Bears senior forward went 5-of-8 from the floor including 3-of-5 from 3-point range to close out the game. Freshman guard,
Izaiah Poole (North Plainfield, NJ) led the team with 7 rebounds and added 6 points in 28 minutes of work.
Bloomfield will take a few days off before hitting the road Saturday for a battle against CACC rival, Dominican College. The Bears are scheduled for a 1:00 pm tip on February 20th as playoff seedings begin to shape up with under two weeks remaining in the regular season.
