ORANGEBURG, NY - The Bloomfield College men's basketball team saw sophomore
Isaiah Sparks (Ewing, NJ) go perfect from the field (7-of-7) in an 84-76 road win over Dominican College Saturday. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) win completed the season sweep of the regionally ranked Chargers and improved the Bears record to 5-3 both in league play and overall. Dominican evened their record at 3-3 with the home setback on Coach Baxter's Court.
Sparks finished the day with a game-high 20 points and went 3-for-3 from beyond the arc. Freshman
Andres Fulgencio (Teaneck, NJ) also posted a perfect game from the field going 6-of-6 from the floor for 15 points including 3-for-3 from three-point range as well. The Bears were on fire, knocking in shots from long range at a season-high, 72.7 percent clip (8-of-11) in the first half and senior forward,
Rich Chapman (Newark, NJ), showing his leadership and unselfish play, came off the bench once again to pour in 15 points while snaring 6 rebounds. Chapman powered the visitors' advantage of 32-30 in bench points and helped keep Dominican at bay down the stretch.
Bloomfield has little time to enjoy the sweet victory as they get set for a Sunday match up with Georgian Court University in The Den. The Lions enter the Bloomfield Gym for a 1:00 pm CACC tip-off with the Bears.
