RUTHERFORD, NJ - The Bears women's basketball team went on the road Tuesday evening and picked up a, 58-34 victory over Felician University. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) win improved Bloomfield's record to 3-3 overall and in league play while the Golden Falcons fell to 0-5 on the season.
The visitors were powered by Dashanique Ruffin (Paterson, NJ) who recorded her third double-double of the year, pouring in 13 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field and grabbing 12 rebounds which included 10 on the offensive glass. Myasia Jackson (Trenton, NJ) netted 13 points on 6-of-11 shots from the field to go along with 7 boards while junior
Siani Smith (Burlington, NJ) came of the bench to add 10 points and 6 rebounds. Sophomore guard,
Alaisha Mumford (Jersey City, NJ) had a career-high day recording 10 steals in the game and a near triple-double, scoring 9 points and snagging 8 rebounds.Â
The Bears will stay on the road for their next match-up when they travel to Caldwell University on Thursday, Feb. 18th. The CACC showdown is set for a 6:00 pm tip-off with the Cougars.Â
