BLOOMFIELD, NJ - The Bears women's Basketball team used their highest offensive output of the season to pull out an 84-56 win over Felician University on Saturday. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) improved Bloomfield's record to 5-4 overall and in league games while also pushing up their rankings for postseason play. The Golden Falcons fell to 0-10 on the year with the setback.

The home team enjoyed four Bears scoring in double-digits as they got off to a, 24-10 first quarter. Dashanique Ruffin (Paterson, NJ) poured in a team-high 22 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the floor. The redshirt sophomore also grabbed seven rebounds to go along with two steals. Junior guard, Jaylah Bennett (Newark, NJ) went 50.0 percent from beyond the arc for all of her 15 points in 28 minutes of work. Fellow starter, Myasia Jackson (Trenton, NJ) chipped in 12 points on 6-for-11 shooting from the field along with seven boards, seven assists and four steals for Bloomfield. Sophomore guard, Alaisha Mumford (Jersey City, NJ) came off the bench to add 10 points and dished out 8 assists to wrap up the Bears top scorers.

Bloomfield will rest up overnight before playing their final game of the regular season on Sunday, Feb 28th. The Bears will make the short trip up Bloomfield Ave to square off against Caldwell University at 1:00 pm with final playoff standings on the line. Bloomfield is in position to host an opening round game on Tuesday of the upcoming CACC Tournament. It would be the first time the Bears hosted a playoff game since the 2017-18 season.
