RUTHERFORD, NJ- The Bears men's basketball team dropped their third consecutive Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest Tuesday evening after traveling to Felician University. Bloomfield suffered a, 76-67 setback at the Job Arena and fell to 2-3 on the year with a 2-3 mark in conference play. The Golden Falcons, playing in their first game of the 2021 season, improved to, 1-0 for the year and 1-0 in league action.
The home team pulled ahead early, posted a 38-30 halftime advantage on the scoreboard. The Bears struggled from the floor in the first stanza hitting, 12-of-36 (33.3 percent) shots from the field. Despite being their first action of the year, Felician knocked in 58.6 percent (17-of-29) of their field goals in the opening half to put the visitors behind and stayed out in front for the rest of the game.
The Bears will return to the hard court on Thursday evening when they host the 2
ndranked team in the region as Dominican College comes to The Den. The 6:00 pm tip-off with the Chargers will be Bloomfield's fourth game in seven days against a CACC opponent. Continue to check back here for schedule updates with impending weather conditions looming across the region.
