PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Bears women's basketball team traveled to USciences on Thursday evening and suffered a, 76-56 setback at Bobby Morgan Arena. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC ) match-up left Bloomfield with a 2-14 overall record and still winless in league play at, 0-8. The Devils, ranked 22
nd in the Nation, moved to 11-3 on the year and 6-2 in conference games.
The visitors' offense struggled in the opening quarter as the Bears shot 29.4 percent (5-of-17) from the field and fell behind 21-13. USciences pushed their lead to 40-22 by the halftime intermission. Bloomfield put forth their best showing in the third quarter, shooting 50.0 percent (7-of-14) from the floor but the nationally ranked Devils matched their intensity and eventually picked up the CACC victory.

Daniya Darby (Jersey City, NJ) had her best day in a Bloomfield uniform, netting 16 points on 6-for-10 shooting and added 8 rebounds. Freshman guard
Taneshia Tucker (Newark, NJ) registered 12 points and 4 steals while
Myasia Jackson (Trenton, NJ) chipped in 10 points.
The Bears return to the friendly confines of The Den for their next contest on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Wilmington University. The CACC battle with the Wildcats is set for a 1:00pm tip-off in Bloomfield. Due to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases, games are subject to postponements with very little notice.
