BLOOMFIELD, NJ – Women's basketball dropped a, 71-68 heartbreaker to Jefferson University Sunday afternoon. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) make-up game after inclement weather prevented the original Saturday afternoon battle left Bloomfield with a 3-16 overall mark and 1-10 in league contests. The Rams who posted a 21-point comeback in the game moved to 14-5 on the season and improved to 7-3 in league play.
The Bears saw a career-high 25 points form
Daniya Darby (Jersey City, NJ) who came off the bench to go 11-of-14 from the floor and grabbed 9 rebounds. Dashanique Ruffin (Paterson, NJ) muscled her way to a 6
th double-double of the season with a modest 10 point, 10 rebound outing while dishing out 6 assists.
Kamrin Babbs (Newark, NJ) had 13 points as she shot 5-of-11 from the field and
Caitlin Townes (Newark, NJ) added 11 points and 6 assists.
Bloomfield, who controlled the game for three quarters saw the Rams erupt for a, 31-11 fourth period to snatch the conference win from their claws. Now the Bears will take almost a week off to regroup before traveling to Chestnut Hill for a Saturday showdown. The Griffins who sit with a perfect 9-0 mark in the CACC South await the North Division squad with a 1:00 pm scheduled tip-off.
